A regular meeting of the Board of Directors of Southern Nevada Anthropomorphic Events was held on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023 virtually over Google Meets, the Con Chair presiding and the Secretary being present.
The meeting was called to order at 6:03pm. Ten out of the ten Board members were present: Addy, Violet, Tani, Kiro, Sakara, Holly, Crake, Jaykie, Sadie, and Dodge. Guests Amber, Humphrey, and Jaxari were also in attendance as well. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as distributed.
A report was given by the Treasurer, Secretary, and Con chair. The Treasurer reported that the organization has approximately $20.118.33 in the bank account. Registration has slowed because the hotel is currently all fully booked. The convention is looking to be in financial good standing since the convention has 20k in funds. The Secretary reported that they finalized the four character sheets that are going to get started on an advertisement poster this month. The Chair reports that the HR department is in progress of finding more leads and staff to fill empty roles. In between meetings, the Tuscany Suites and Casino was booked for overflow and Teresa is working on other hotels for possible overbooking options as well, like the Serene Vegas Boutique Hotel.
Chair Tani moved to appoint Jaykie as the Assistant Marketing director. The motion has been adopted after debate.
Chair Tani moved to compensate for 3 rooms for the Party Maven team. The motion has been adopted after debate.
Chair Tani moved to compensate for 6 rooms for the AV staff team. The motion has been adopted after debate.
Chair Tani moved to allocate 1,000 for the art department. The money will be used for 10 tables and 15 super sponsor badges compensated. The motion has been adopted after debate.
Chair Tani moved to officialize a tentative GOH 2025 list which will be chosen at the December Board meeting, with the exact policy decided internally by the convention committee. The motion has been adopted after debate.
Chair Tani moved to compensate about 36 basic attendance badges for dj’s and live performers for the dance competition. The motion has been adopted after debate.
Chair Tani moved to compensate rooms for vendors on the master account and will be reimbursed directly by invoicing the dealers. The motion has been adopted after debate.
